Dan Hallock Bio

Dan Hallock was born and raised in Casper.  During his high school years at Kelly Walsh, he was a student leader of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and was actively involved in his church youth group at First Baptist Church.  The best part about Dan’s high school years was meeting and dating his future wife, Cindy, who sang and played the piano for Kelly Walsh choirs and Highland Park Community Church.

After high school, Dan and Cindy attended the University of Wyoming, where they were actively involved in Campus Ventures and youth ministry in their local church.  After Dan graduated with a degree in English and Cindy graduated with a degree in Elementary Education, they got married and moved to Denver, where Dan attended Denver Seminary and Cindy taught fourth grade.

Upon completing his M.Div. at Denver Seminary, Dan and Cindy moved to Stanwood, Washington, to minister at Cedarhome Baptist Church.  Dan served there for thirteen years: six years as the youth pastor and seven years as the lead pastor.  During that time, the Lord blessed Dan and Cindy with three kids: Jackson (13), Grace (11), and Josiah (8).  With a desire to be closer to family, the Hallocks moved back to the Rocky Mountains in 2020, where Dan has served as a Family Pastor at an EFCA church outside of Denver.

Dan is excited about the prospect of moving back to Wyoming and serving as senior pastor at Cornerstone.  He highly values Cornerstone’s commitment to the gospel, biblical inerrancy, expository preaching, and sound theology.  Dan likes fishing, playing guitar, the outdoors, movies, concerts, sports, and watching Casper College basketball games.  Cindy likes cooking, reading, and being a mom.  Jackson likes to play football and basketball, lift weights, serve at youth group, and play video games with friends.  Grace likes to make arts and crafts, read, and make new friends.  Josiah likes to draw, play sports, and play video games.
